Salary: $60,000 to $80,000 DOE

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a thriving boutique civil defense law firm in the heart of downtown Nashville’s central business district to identify a talented Litigation Paralegal with blended legal administrative responsibilities. This is a fully onsite, full‑time opportunity supporting a fast‑paced, high‑volume practice. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail‑driven, and thrives in a dynamic environment while confidently supporting multiple attorneys and managing competing priorities.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide end‑to‑end litigation and administrative support in civil defense matters
  • Draft, proofread, format, and manage pleadings, discovery, correspondence, and litigation documents
  • Prepare and submit electronic filings in state and federal courts
  • Assist with discovery processes, including document review, organization, and production
  • Monitor deadlines, hearings, and case milestones; maintain accurate calendars and case files
  • Support billing‑related tasks, including time entries and matter organization
  • Perform legal administrative functions such as professional client communication, document preparation, and coordination with courts and opposing counsel
  • Collaborate closely with attorneys and internal staff to ensure workflow efficiency and accuracy
Must‑Have Qualifications
  • 3+ years of recent and tenured experience working in a U.S. law firm environment
  • Solid understanding of litigation workflows, court rules, and filing requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a high‑volume caseload with competing deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and exceptional attention to detail
Preferred Experience
  • Background in insurance defense, medical malpractice defense, or similar civil defense practice area is highly preferred; complex commercial, healthcare liability, and labor & employment defense practice areas will also be considered
  • Civil defense litigation paralegals and legal assistants with some billing experience are encouraged to apply
