Job summary

Tyson & Mendes in Dallas, TX is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to support attorneys in civil defense matters, manage calendars, filings, and trial preparation. The role emphasizes collaboration, organization, and professional growth within a nationally recognized firm.

You will work in a fast-paced team environment, handling docketing, pleadings, and hearing coordination, with opportunities to contribute to complex cases and client service excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years’ experience as a litigation legal assistant.
• Insurance defense experience.
• Personal injury experience.
• Solid understanding of civil litigation (state and federal calendar deadlines and rules).
• Experience with state and federal court filings in Texas.
• Able to work in office 1-2 days a week (222 West Las Colinas Blvd, Suite 1650, Irving, TX 75039).
• High proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint and Outlook and Adobe Acrobat.
• Ability to think and act independently and with minimal supervision.
• Articulate, organized and a team player with excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
