Job summary

Tyson & Mendes LLP, a nationally recognized trial firm, seeks a Legal Assistant to support civil litigation and insurance defense. You will draft and e-file documents, manage case calendars, coordinate hearings and trial prep, and communicate with clients and courts with discretion.

Ideal candidates have litigation support experience, excellent organizational and communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office and legal software. Hybrid work option available.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years’ experience as a litigation legal assistant.
• Solid understanding of civil litigation (state and federal calendar deadlines and rules).
• Experience with state and federal court filings in California.
• Able to work from the office 2 days per week.
• Preference for insurance defense and/or personal injury experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with daily administrative tasks.
• Format all pleadings and correspondence.
• Assist with trial preparation.
• File and E-file documents in State and Federal Courts.
• Assist with document management and file organization.
