Job summary

Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A. in Orlando is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Litigation Legal Assistant. The role requires a self-starter with 3+ years of litigation experience and excellent communication and organizational skills.

Insurance defense experience is recommended, and this is not a remote position. The candidate should be proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Pro, and case management software (ATO, iManage, etc.), with the ability to file pleadings in Florida

Qualifications

• 3+ years of litigation experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to file pleadings and manage case tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with drafting and filing pleadings in state and federal court systems.
• Schedule deadlines and hearings; maintain updated case list.
• Prepare simple binders for hearings or depositions and manage eFiling.

Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A, an AV-rated firm and Florida’s largest litigation firm, is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Litigation Legal Assistant for its Orlando office. Applicants should have 3+ years of litigation experience, be a self-starter, have excellent communication skills, and be well organized to join our fast-growing team. Insurance defense experience recommended. This is not a remote position.

Must be proficient in all Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Pro, case management software (ATO, iManage, etc.), and the ability to file pleadings, etc., in the Florida State Court filing system as well as the U.S. District Court filing system. You must have experience in scheduling, tasking deadlines, keeping an updated case list, efiling, drafting pleadings, drafting notices, preparing simple binders for hearings or depositions, etc.
