Litigation Attorney | Raleigh, NC | Hybrid | $135,000–$300,000 DOE | Multiple Practice Groups
The most honest review of a law firm isn’t on its website. It’s what people say three months after they’ve joined.
Who you’d be joining
- A firm actively growing its litigation practice groups. This is about building, not filling a gap someone left.
- Full-service means clients bring the firm the rest of their legal problems too. That keeps a litigation docket well fed.
- Hybrid working, so the role works from Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill, Wake Forest or anywhere across the Triangle.
Where you might fit
- Commercial and business litigation
- Insurance defense and insurance coverage, including premises, auto and trucking
- Professional liability and medical malpractice
- Construction, real estate and products liability
- Complex and catastrophic cases
You don’t need all of these. One or two, done properly, is plenty.
Why it could be worth the move
- A group that’s growing has room in it. Room for responsibility, for client contact, and for a say in where the practice goes next.
- With this many litigation groups under one roof, you can grow sideways as well as up if your interests shift.
What they’re after
- 2+ years of litigation experience in one or more of the areas above
- Licensed and in good standing in North Carolina
- Comfortable running files and talking to clients
- Associates through to senior attorneys. Got a book of business? That changes the numbers.
The numbers
- $135,000–$260,000 depending on experience. The range is wide because they’re hiring at two levels: associates toward the lower end, senior associates toward the top.
- Bring a book of business and it can go up to $300,000. The size of the book sets where you land.
- 1,800+ billable hour target.
