Job Title: Litigation Attorney (Business Litigation)

Compensation: $120,000- $170,000 DOE

About the Role

A leading multi-specialty law firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Litigation Attorney to join its dynamic and fast-paced business litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior attorney looking for long-term professional growth within a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.

The role offers exposure to a broad range of complex business litigation matters, with opportunities for advancement, including consideration for an expedited path to equity partnership based on experience and portable business.

Key Responsibilities

Case Management

• Manage a diverse caseload of business litigation matters, including breach of contract, corporate disputes, and other commercial issues
• Oversee matters from initial assessment through resolution, including trial and appeal where applicable

Legal Research & Strategy

• Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to support case strategies
• Provide practical, business-focused legal advice to clients

Litigation & Advocacy

• Draft and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
• Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials

Client Engagement

• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Provide regular updates and strategic guidance on case progress
• Work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff
• Mentor and support junior team members as needed

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active license to practice law in North Carolina (or ability to obtain promptly)
• Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience, ideally within business or commercial litigation
• Experience in North Carolina Business Court and/or Federal Court strongly preferred
• Proven ability to manage complex litigation matters independently
