Job summary

Jobot, a boutique East Coast litigation firm, seeks a Litigation Associate to join a hybrid team. You will handle complex litigation from complaint through trial while collaborating with colleagues in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has a JD, at least 5 years of experience, PA/NJ/NY admission, and strong research, writing, and negotiation skills. Salary ranges from $130,000 to $150,000 with 1900 billables, bonus, PTO, and benefits.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in litigation.
• Admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania; NJ or NY admission is a plus.
• Strong skills in legal research and writing are essential.
• Proven ability to manage a high caseload in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal strategies.
• Experience with e-discovery and litigation support tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of the litigation process including investigation, pleadings, discovery, depositions, negotiations, settlements, and trial strategy.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case preparation and to stay updated on recent laws and regulations.
• Draft, review, and revise legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and agreements.
• Represent clients in court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
• Collaborate with a team of attorneys to develop legal strategies.
• Provide legal advice to clients and advise on the potential implications of current and future laws and regulations.
• Develop relationships with clients and work closely with them to understand their needs and objectives.
• Participate in business development activities including client meetings, conferences, and seminars.
