Job summary

DLA Piper is seeking an associate to join its Litigation group, Product Liability, Mass Torts & Class Actions, to work with its Class Actions practice. This position is open to any US office, with a preference for New York metropolitan based candidates, and willingness to consider Palo Alto applicants.

You will conduct thorough research, draft persuasive briefs and motions, manage multi‑matter dockets, and collaborate with partners to develop innovative case strategies aimed at favorable

Qualifications

• JD required and admitted to practice in jurisdiction where applying.
• Min 4 years of litigation experience, preferably AmLaw 100.
• Experience with class action defense (securities, data/privacy, or consumer).
• Experience managing multi-matter dockets; federal clerkship preferred.
• Strong persuasive legal writing; excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategy.
• Draft well-written legal briefs, motions, contracts, and correspondence.
• Assist/manage complex cases from inception to resolution including trials, negotiations, and closings.
• Build and maintain strong internal/external client relationships with professionalism.
