Hawkins Melendrez P.C., a boutique-sized law firm in Summerlin, Nevada, seeks a talented Litigation Attorney to handle cases from inception through trial and appeal. You will work with diverse clients, draft pleadings, manage discovery, and collaborate with partners on challenging cases.

The position offers growth opportunities, and requires strong advocacy, research, and writing skills, plus active Nevada Bar membership. On-site role in the Las Vegas area with a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of experience in premises, auto or products liability, healthcare, wrongful death and personal injury
• Experience managing a litigation caseload and drafting briefs, motions and discovery requests
• Experience conducting research on legal issues and appearances at hearings, depositions and trials
• Active member of the Nevada State Bar, in good standing
• Ability to manage a caseload independently while collaborating with the team
• Excellent written and verbal communication with clients, team and partners

Responsibilities

• Handle cases from inception through trial and appeal
• Draft pleadings and motions, conduct legal research
• Manage discovery and coordinate with clients and witnesses
• Represent clients in hearings, depositions and trials
• Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on strategy
• Provide timely reports to clients and firm leadership
