Job summary

Hawkins Parnell & Young LLP in Los Angeles seeks a 2-4 year associate to join a nationally renowned firm. You will work alongside top litigators across stages from pre-suit to trial and appeal.

Active Bar License required; strong academics and willingness to learn and gain trial experience from a dedicated team. The firm represents a variety of clients nationwide and maintains a large litigation team across nine offices.

Qualifications

• Active bar license in good standing; multiple licenses a plus but not mandatory.
• Excellent academic credentials and strong writing, analytical and communications skills.
• 2-4 years' experience in defense litigation; product liability or toxic tort experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Trial preparation, including strategy discussion, discovery, records review, client interviews and witness preparation
• Research, both legal and of people, businesses, and worksites
• Drafting of briefs, memos, and client updates
• Attendance at depositions, hearings, and/or mediations
