Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its Malta Fab8 site to monitor, sustain, and improve equipment and processes in collaboration with production teams and area engineers.

The role emphasizes preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and concise status communication to Leads. Candidates should have 4+ years in semiconductor maintenance and a related degree or equivalent military experience.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; 2 Year Technical/Associates Degree in Science, Math, Engineering, Semiconductor Manufacturing or related discipline or equivalent military training/experience.
• Experience: At least 4 years direct experience in semiconductor manufacturing or tool/equipment/facilities maintenance; 10+ years of relevant experience or equivalent military experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment as required.
• Monitor, control, and test semiconductor equipment for manufacturing readiness.
• Communicate equipment status and end-of-shift pass downs to Lead Tech/Engineer.
• Recover equipment after process interruptions and document events.
• Follow Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
