Qualifications

  • Document student performance and progress with teachers and student program requirements.
  • Plan instructional activities and administer assessments with classroom teachers.
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary programs with staff and teachers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or designee.

Job Description

POSITION: Literacy Tutor (2) (Title I grant-funded to the end of this school year)

REPORTS TO: Building Principal and Title I Director

SALARY: $25.00 per hour

HOURS: 19.5 hours per week, until the end of this school year

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Using prepared lesson plans, instruct at-risk individuals or small groups of students within the regular classroom and occasionally other settings.
  • Facilitate the instructional programs of all assigned students under the supervision of the classroom teacher, Title I Director and Building Principal.
  • Document student performance and progress in collaboration with the classroom teachers and/or the student’s individual program requirements.
  • Plan appropriate instructional activities and administer assessments in collaboration with classroom teachers.
  • Meet regularly with other staff members and classroom teachers to coordinate interdisciplinary programs and activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal or designee.
