Job Description

Milton Town School District seeks a dynamic and dedicated Literacy Interventionist to join our talented team of educators for the 2025-2026 school year. This role focuses on supporting students through targeted literacy interventions, credit recovery, and short-term transitions, ensuring their academic and social-emotional growth. We are seeking candidates who align with our commitment to the whole-child framework and have experience supporting students' general academic success.

Key Responsibilities

Provide targeted interventions to students, ensuring alignment with Common Core Standards.

Utilize evidence-based, research-driven teaching practices, including specially designed instruction.

Implement differentiation strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of all students.

Collaborate with classroom teachers and other staff to develop plans to support students who are in need of credit recovery or experience learning loss due to poor attendance.

Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes both academic success and social-emotional development.

Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in literacy and math instruction.
