Position Overview

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Use standards (CCSS, SELS, Language) to identify common learning targets.
  2. Use knowledge of students’ backgrounds, interests, and assessment data to inform planning.
  3. Develop daily, weekly, and year-long plans supporting student mastery of standards.
  4. Establish clear objectives and communicate them effectively.
  5. Instruct students using various methods to promote engagement and independence.
  6. Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet diverse needs.
  7. Provide daily opportunities for students to explain reasoning and negotiate meaning.
  8. Define and plan formative assessments and adjust instruction accordingly.
  9. Provide meaningful feedback and opportunities for student and teacher feedback.
  10. Analyze data to inform instruction and support student achievement.
  11. Establish rules for behavior and procedures for classroom order.
  12. Meet with parents/guardians to discuss student progress.
  13. Collaborate with staff to support student learning.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (official transcripts required).
  • Wisconsin DPI teaching license in Reading (1316) or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Applicants considered on a rolling basis; licensed candidates prioritized.
  • Must obtain and maintain necessary licenses within 30 days of employment.
