Job summary

Heywood Hospital is seeking a Laboratory Application Analyst to evaluate end user needs related to laboratory systems and to configure and maintain LIS and related applications aligned with hospital strategies.

The role partners with internal customers to map processes, design technical solutions, and educate end-users on system functionality, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and quality service.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in medical technology, computer science or related field.
Minimum two (2) years experience working with Laboratory Information Systems.
Exemplary analytical and problem solving skills; Previous experience with Meditech is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide daily support and education for the Laboratory Information System (LIS) and LIS users including lab workflow, instrument integration and lab reporting; provide after hours support as needed.
Configure and maintain the LIS and other lab systems to parallel overall business and laboratory strategies.
Support LIS system upgrades and implementations including test plans and coordinating testing across lab areas.
Monitor system and lab interface performance and make recommendations for changes as needed.
Coordinate with external vendors during system implementations/upgrades or instrument integration projects.
