Vultr is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to design, administer, and optimize Linux-based infrastructure across global data centers. You will balance security, reliability, and scalability while solving non-routine challenges and driving automation.

You will collaborate with engineering, operations, and data center teams to support platform expansion and apply advanced Linux expertise to future-proof the environment.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency administering Linux systems (CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu).
• Experience with system-level troubleshooting to resolve non-routine issues.
• Scripting in Bash or Python required.
• Familiarity with virtualization, networking, or software development a plus.
• Hands-on experience with web servers, databases, and firewalls.

Responsabilités

• Design, configure, and implement Linux upgrades and infrastructure changes.
• Administer and maintain Linux servers and services, diagnosing issues.
• Serve as escalation point for Linux-related problems and remediation.
• Collaborate with teams to plan data center deployments and readiness.
• Migrate applications and systems, assessing dependencies and risks.
• Monitor performance and security, taking corrective actions.
• Develop scripts and tooling to improve operational efficiency.
• Produce documentation and diagrams to support scaling.
