Job summary

WVU Medicine in Morgantown, WV, seeks an IT professional to provide first-level support for network services and infrastructure. You will serve as the Tier 1 service provider and onsite liaison with Tier 2/3 engineers in Enterprise Information Systems, covering networking, servers, security, and applications.

Responsibilities include assisting with data cabling, server OS support, application delivery, change management, and documentation. Travel to remote sites may be required in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or other related field OR High School Diploma or equivalent with two years of experience in networking and server platform.
• Internal employees must meet all mandatory competencies in current position to qualify for promotion within IT.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level network and infrastructure support as Tier 1 service provider.
• Assist with data cabling installations and rack basic network and security appliances.
• Support servers and Windows operating systems; provide legacy server support.
• Collaborate with Tier 2/3 analysts and engineers on projects and issue resolution.
• Document work tasks and maintain network information databases.
• Assist with application delivery and user access issues.
