Job summary

WVNET seeks a Network Operator to provide Tier I technical support and 24/7 monitoring for statewide services in Morgantown, WV. You’ll handle tickets, assist with passwords, email configs, and connectivity, and coordinate with multiple teams to ensure reliable operations.

The role requires an associate degree with CS hours and 2 years in IT support or network operations. Competitive benefits apply, with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

Associate degree with at least 15 CS credit hours
Two years of IT help desk or network ops experience
Strong customer-service and written/spoken communication

Responsibilities

Serve as primary Tier I contact for network, email, and hosted-service issues
Monitor tickets, emails, calls, dashboards, and alerts
Troubleshoot routine tech issues and perform account maintenance
Document incidents and provide updates; escalate complex issues
Support WVNET hosted services including Brightspace
Coordinate with IT teams to resolve issues promptly
Create and maintain technical documentation and SOPs
Participate in training and process improvement
