Job summary

Resourcesoft, Inc. is seeking an experienced Linux Systems Administrator to manage enterprise server environments. The role focuses on Rocky Linux and CentOS, plus Windows patching, vulnerability remediation, and securing vendor software like Aspera.

You will work with AWS EC2 and monitor systems using Grafana and Splunk, while coordinating production reboots and documenting procedures. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential as you support enterprise clients across multiple

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional Linux systems administration experience.
• Experience with Rocky Linux and CentOS.
• Experience with Windows Server patching and updates.
• Experience remediating OS vulnerabilities and ensuring security compliance.
• Experience with enterprise vendor software like Aspera.
• Familiarity with AWS EC2 and telemetry dashboards (Grafana, Splunk).
• Excellent communication and documentation skills for live production reboots and runbooks.

Responsibilities

• Perform OS-level cybersecurity patching across Rocky Linux, CentOS, and Windows.Remediate vulnerability tickets with fixes and patches.Execute controlled reboots and service validations in production.
• Maintain and patch enterprise third‑party apps (e.g., Aspera).
• Monitor server availability and telemetry with Grafana and Splunk.
• Document patching actions, config updates, and remediation outcomes.
• Navigate AWS cloud instances to verify health and follow runbooks.

Requirements

• 4 or more years of professional Linux systems administration experience managing enterprise server environments.
• Proficiency in Linux distribution management specifically utilizing Rocky Linux and CentOS platforms.
• Experience with administering monthly operating system patching and updates across Windows Server systems.
• Experience in remediating operating system vulnerabilities and validating application security compliance.
• Experience with updating specialized enterprise vendor software such as Aspera high-speed file transfer tools.
• Experience with navigating basic AWS EC2 cloud instances and monitoring system telemetry via Grafana or Splunk.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills to coordinate live production reboots and execute established standard procedures.

Responsibilities

• Execute operating system-level cybersecurity patching across enterprise Rocky Linux, CentOS, and Windows server fleets.
• Remediate infrastructure vulnerability tickets by deploying required software fixes, security updates, and system patches.
• Perform controlled system reboots, functional service validations, and coordinated server reactivations in production environments.
• Maintain and patch specialized enterprise third-party applications, including high-speed file transfer solutions.
• Monitor server availability and system telemetry metrics utilizing centralized dashboards such as Grafana and Splunk.
• Document all patching actions, server configuration updates, and remediation outcomes within tracking systems.
• Navigate cloud instances in AWS to verify instance health and adhere strictly to operational runbook guidelines.
