Job summary

Everpure in Santa Clara is seeking a senior Linux kernel engineer to join our world-class team building enterprise storage solutions. You will develop new features within the Linux kernel for Pure’s enterprise storage products and drive improvements across performance and reliability.

You will patch and maintain code, optimize CPU, NUMA, and threading, work with hardware vendors, lead architecture from concept to release, and mentor peers while ensuring high-quality results.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Linux kernel/driver development experience.
• Strong foundation in computer architecture, OS concepts, networking.
• Proven ability to ship high-performance, reliable kernel code.
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills; strong written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop new features within the Linux kernel for Pure’s enterprise storage products.
• Maintain and patch existing Linux code to resolve customer issues.
• Optimize kernel performance within Pure’s arrays to meet requirements.
• Diagnose issues at the hardware-software boundary with partners and vendors.
• Lead architecture and development from concept to release with high-quality outcomes.
• Mentor peers and share knowledge across teams.
• Participate in code reviews and define requirements for upcoming storage server projects.
