Job summary

The Matlen Silver Group, Inc. is seeking a Linux Infrastructure Engineer/Operational Support Engineer for Pennington/Jersey City, NJ, supporting critical core components in a financial services environment.

This role includes end-to-end Linux infrastructure management, collaboration on deployments, and on-call incident response. The position requires experience in Linux infrastructure and end-user/operational support, familiarity with Quartz or global markets environments, and AWS.

Qualifications

• Linux infra and end-user/operational support experience.
• Prior Quartz or global markets support experience.
• Shift from 12:30 PM to 9:30 PM.
• End-to-end Linux-based infra hosting core components (DB, GRID, schedulers, messaging).
• Scripting skills; Python preferred.
• Onsite: 4 days/week first 6 months, then 3 days.
• Weekend rotation required.
• AWS skills.
• Some SRE knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage and implement end-to-end Linux-based infrastructure hosting core components.
• Provide operational support for Linux environments and end-user systems.
• Collaborate on deployment, monitoring, and incident response.

Job Description:

• -Linux infra skills paired with end user support/operational support
• -Prior Quartz or global markets support
• -12:30-9:30 pm shift
• -Managing and implementing end-to-end Linux based infrastructure that hosts many critical core components such as Database, GRID Computing, Enterprise Job Schedulers Messaging Platforms
• -Scripting skills with any language; python preferred
• -4 days onsite for first 6 months then down to 3
• weekend rotation shift
• -AWS skills
• -Any SRE knowledge
