ALTAHEIGHTS is seeking a dependable Laundry/Housekeeping Clerk to support nursing home residents by preparing clean linen, sorting, washing, drying, and delivering items. The role emphasizes sanitary procedures and safe operation of laundry equipment.

The position requires reading comprehension, basic math, and the ability to follow directions. A GED or high school diploma is required with a preference for 1 year of related experience.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma required or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience preferred in laundry/housekeeping.
• Ability to read and understand directions related to laundry procedures.
• Basic math and safety awareness are required.

Responsibilities

• Make available a quantity of clean linen for residents’ use.
• Maintain linen in good repair and remove stained/holed items from service.
• Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed.
• Sort, wash, dry and fold clothing and linens.
• Deliver clean laundry items to resident rooms.
• Follow sanitary processes and report equipment issues.
