Job summary

PACS is seeking a dedicated Laundry/Housekeeping Aide to support resident comfort in our nursing home. You will prepare and deliver clean linen, sort and process laundry, and maintain a sanitary environment according to policy.

No supervisory duties; a GED or high school diploma is preferred, and 1 year of experience is helpful. The role requires reading procedures, basic math, and problem-solving to respond to daily needs and equipment issues.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma required or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand directions related to laundry/housekeeping procedures.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to problem solve and seek assistance when needed.

Responsibilities

• Make available a quantity of clean linen for residents' care and comfort.
• Maintain linen in good repair and remove stained items from service.
• Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed.
• Label new residents' clothing items as needed.
• Sort, wash, dry and fold clothing and linens.
• Deliver clean laundry items to resident rooms.
• Follow sanitary processes and maintain inventory of laundry supplies.
• Use laundry equipment safely and report equipment issues.
