Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Laundry Attendant at our Fort Benning area location. You will ensure every linen and guest item is washed, dried, and folded to the highest standards.

You’ll sort, inspect for damage, operate washers and dryers per guidelines, and apply chemicals accurately. You’ll fold and store items using the linen equipment and maintain records of any items not meeting grade. This role is physical and requires standing, lifting, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Physical role requiring you to stand most of the day.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and push/pull about 400 pounds.
• Bend, stoop, and kneel to complete tasks.
• Work in areas of high temperatures around heavy equipment.
• Reading, writing and basic math used to determine chemical amounts and log weights.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Sort laundry by colour, material and level of soiling.
• Inspect all laundry for damage or stains and log items that don\u2019t meet the grade.
• Operate washers and dryers according to capacity and manufacturer guidelines.
• Add chemicals in correct quantities for each wash cycle.
• Fold and store clean linen using linen feeder, sheet folder, towel folder and table linen ironing machines.
