Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Laundry Attendant to ensure every linen and guest item is washed, dried, and folded to meet our high standards. The role emphasizes attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency in a fast-paced hotel environment.

You will sort laundry, inspect items for damage, operate washers/dryers, add chemicals, and fold/store linens using specialized equipment. The job requires physical stamina and teamwork.

Qualifications

• It’s a physical role requiring being on your feet most of the day.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and push/pull up to 400 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel to complete activities.
• Work in areas of high temperatures around heavy equipment.
• Reading, writing abilities and basic math skills used for chemicals and logging pounds.
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Sort laundry by colour, material, and soil level.
• Inspect all laundry for damage or stains and keep records of items that don’t meet grade.
• Operate washers and dryers according to capacity and manufacturer guidelines.
• Add the correct chemicals in the right quantities for each wash cycle.
• Fold and store clean linen using linen feeder, sheet folder, towel folder and ironing machines.
