Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts at Joint Base Lewis-McChord is seeking a Laundry Attendant to clean and store linens, ensuring the hotel's laundry and linen needs are met.

You will operate washers and dryers, manage chemicals, fold and store linens, and coordinate with other departments to support smooth hotel operations.

This role requires basic reading and math, some laundry experience, and good English; lifting up to 75 pounds and routine heavy equipment are expected.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Some laundry experience and ability to speak English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive soiled lines by bag, cart or chute from the floors and sort by kind, color and soil.
• Operate washers and dryers according to capacity and manufacturer guidelines; ensure chemicals are added correctly.
• Fold clean linens and store; operate linen feeder, sheet folder, towel folder and ironer machines.
• Report to supervisor any needed repairs or unsafe conditions.
• Monitor and control supplies and minimize waste within the laundry facility.
• Sort and log discarded linen; report damages or loss to supervisor.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through coordination with other departments.
• May assist with other duties as assigned.
