Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Laundry Attendant to clean and store linens promptly to meet hotel needs. You will receive soiled items, sort by type and soil, and operate washers/dryers following guidelines.

Responsibilities include folding, storage, and reporting damages, with opportunities to assist in other duties. The role requires basic math/reading skills and English communication; some nights/weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing and math skills.
• Some laundry experience and ability to speak English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive soiled lines by bag, cart or chute from floors; sort by kind, color and soil.
• Operate washers and dryers according to capacity and guidelines; add chemicals correctly.
• Fold clean linens and store; operate linen feeder, sheet/towel folder and ironer.
• Report repairs or unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Monitor and control supplies; minimize waste in laundry facility.
• Sort and record discarded linen; report damages or loss to supervisor.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication with other departments.
• May assist with other duties as assigned.
