Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group in the United States is seeking a Laundry Attendant to clean and store linens, ensuring the hotel’s laundry needs are met and equipment runs smoothly.

You will sort, inspect, operate washers and dryers, fold and store linens, monitor supplies, and coordinate with other departments. Light lifting and standing are required, with potential night/weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Laundry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive soiled lines by bag, cart or chute from the floors.
• Sort articles by kind, color and degree of soil.
• Inspect laundry and linens and record damaged or stained items.
• Operate washers and dryers according to capacity and guidelines; add chemicals as required.
• Fold clean linens and store; operate linen equipment.
• Report damages or loss and monitor supplies to minimize waste.
• Promote teamwork and coordinate with other departments; assist with other duties as assigned.
