Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group is seeking a dedicated Laundry Attendant to ensure every linen and guest item is washed, dried, and folded to the highest standards. You will sort items, inspect for damage, and operate washers, dryers, and linen machinery while maintaining precise chemical measurements and logs.

The role is physically demanding, requiring you to stand most of the day, lift up to 75 pounds, and push/pull heavy loads.

Qualifications

• This role is physical; you’ll be on your feet most of the day.
• Reading and writing abilities and basic math skills are used to determine chemical amounts and log weights.

Responsibilities

• Sort laundry by colour, material and soil level.
• Inspect all laundry and linen for damage or stains; record items that don’t meet grade.
• Operate washers and dryers per capacity and manufacturer guidelines.
• Add chemicals in correct quantities for each wash cycle.
• Fold and store clean linen; operate linen feeder, folders and ironing machines.
