Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Lineperson Class B in the United States to install and repair overhead distribution and transmission systems, including poles, cables, and electrical equipment.

Responsibilities include setting poles and anchors, stringing overhead wire, installing transformers and switchgear, and performing construct/ maintenance for energized and de-energized lines while adhering to safety rules. Travel may be required; CDL within 90 days is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years experience in electrical power line construction.
• Ability to provide proof of work experience, schooling, and certifications.

Responsibilities

• The setting of poles and anchors; stringing overhead wire.
• Installing transformers, lightning arresters, cutouts, cross arms insulators, switches, and switchgear.
• Maintenance or repair work on energized/de-energized overhead lines with safety rules.
• Troubleshooting primary/secondary systems.
• Replacing cutout fuses and clearing faulted circuits.
• Daily testing and inspection of tools/equipment for safety.
• Report injuries and safety concerns to Foreperson.
• Other duties related to overhead power supply installation.
