Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of DOL-approved Lineman Apprenticeship Level 2 requirements.
• Ability to operate PEC vehicles lawfully with a valid Texas license.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate mastery of Apprentice 1 and 2 duties.
• Construct and maintain overhead/underground lines and equipment.
• Work on energized lines after training and supervisor approval.
• Inspect existing power lines and substation equipment.
• Identify, report, and resolve issues and hazards.
• Operate and maintain vehicles/equipment.
• Assist in trouble investigation and fault location.
• Perform rubber glove work from an aerial device.
• Adhere to safety regulations and attend scheduled trainings.
