Job summary

Pedernales Electric Cooperative is seeking a Lineman Apprentice to join our Liberty Hill team. The role involves constructing and maintaining overhead and underground lines, inspecting substations, and responding to outages.

You will work under supervision, progress through apprentice levels, and complete safety training. A Texas CDL Class A is required, and the position is based at PEC Liberty Hill Office with on-site duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of DOL-approved Lineman Apprenticeship Program — Apprentice Level 2.
• Valid Texas Class A CDL required.

Responsibilities

• Construct and maintain overhead and underground electrical lines and equipment.
• Inspect and repair transmission and distribution systems.
• Respond to outages and locate causes of faults.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment.
• Work on energized lines only after required training and authorization.
