Job summary

Entergy Texas, Inc.-GTX is hiring an Apprentice in the Lineworker program based in Dayton, Texas. The role covers 1st–3rd year apprentice tasks, including high/low voltage line work and assisting qualified linemen.

The program requires completing an accredited Lineworker Training program or equivalent field experience, with opportunities to progress as experience grows. Pre-employment fitness and CDL may be required.

Qualifications

• Willing and able to perform less difficult tasks in high/low voltage line work.
• Able to interpret and follow company construction specifications.
• Demonstrated linework experience or completion of accredited training program.

Responsibilities

• Assist qualified lineman or mechanic in routine inspection and maintenance.
• Operate company trucks and equipment.
• Assist in installation and maintenance of transmission/distribution facilities.
