Arizona Public Service Company (APS) seeks candidates for its Pre-Apprentice Lineman program in the Phoenix metro area, Casa Grande and Yuma. The role assists Journeymen Linemen with rigging, operating hydraulic tools, bucket trucks, and installing poles; rotation across the organization provides valuable field experience.

Ideal applicants are 18+, have a High School diploma or GED, are legally authorized to work in the United States, and hold a Class A CDL.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must possess a High School diploma or GED prior to the application closing.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must have a valid Class A CDL with no airbrakes restrictions.
• Must meet one of several math/ACE/ CLEP/ AP criteria listed in the posting.

Responsibilities

• Assist Journeymen Linemen with rigging, tool operation and parts handling.
• Operate boom truck, forklift, and bucket trucks as directed.
• Install poles, trenches and work in confined spaces as needed.
• Rotate to different areas to gain field experience.
