Job summary

Arizona Public Service (APS) is seeking a Cableman Journeyman for the Surprise, AZ area to support the Customer Construction West Crew. This role involves skilled overhead line work and safety-focused field deployment to ensure reliable electric service.

The ideal candidate will have a journeyman lineman or electrician apprenticeship and a valid Class A CDL, with a clean driving record. The position requires on-site work, climbing, and occasional overtime to meet project needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED completed.
• Completed a Registered Journeyman Lineman or Electrician Apprenticeship Program or equivalent, PLUS one year experience.
• CDL Class A with ability to meet DOT requirements; must have Class A permit or license as applicable.
• Must live within one hour of APS headquarters.
• Pass written and hands-on exam; demonstrate climbing skills.
• Overtime may be required.
• Working with aerial equipment with weight restrictions of 300 pounds or less.
• Headquarters relocation possibility to HUBwest Service center.
