Qualifications

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must possess a High School diploma or G.E.D. prior to the application closing.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must have a valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License (CDL). No mechanical restrictions i.e., airbrakes.
• Must have completed one of: college algebra with grade C or better; NJATC Technical Mathematics; ACE-certified college algebra through ACE; CLEP College Algebra with ACE score 50+; AP Calculus/Precalculus credit with AP score 3+.
• Must be physically qualified to meet the job requirements and display aptitude for the trade.
• Must be willing to work at heights and safely climb poles, ladders, and operate from aerial devices.
• This position requires working with aerial equipment, weight restrictions of 300 lbs or less.

Responsibilities

• Assist Substation Electrician crews with maintaining and repairing transformers, circuit breakers, switches, capacitors, and other high-voltage equipment.
• Rigging; operate hydraulic tools; operate boom truck & forklift; work from aerial lifts.
• Install poles; trenches; work in confined spaces; rotate to different areas to gain experience.
