Job summary

OnTrac is seeking an Area Manager to lead and optimize operations at our Hamilton, NJ facility. This onsite role oversees sort activities, staff scheduling, and performance within a defined area to ensure safety and efficiency.

The candidate will drive process improvements, coach a team of handlers, and coordinate with the Operations Manager to meet daily and long-term goals. A GED/BA/BS and 2+ years in logistics with leadership are expected.

Qualifications

• GED/ Diploma required; BA/BS preferred in related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of industry experience (logistics/shipping/3PL) with at least 1 year of leadership experience.
• Ability to analyze data and present clear answers.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office and basic math skills.
• Effective communication and constructive feedback.
• Experience hiring, training, motivating, disciplining, and evaluating employees.

Responsibilities

• Manage and schedule a team of Package Handlers and Lead Package Handlers in an assigned facility area.
• Monitor progress, provide feedback, and address performance/attendance issues.
• Conduct pre-sort meetings and communicate daily goals and safety priorities.
• Oversee departures/arrivals and flow of volume from Linehauls.
• Perform safety training, audits, and end-of-shift reporting.
