Job summary

Y-12 National Security Complex is seeking an Engineering Line Supervisor in Structural Engineering to provide leadership and technical direction for Design Engineers within the Division Managed Design organization. The role emphasizes safety, prioritization, and alignment with program scope, budget, and schedule.

You will guide staffing decisions, performance reviews, and SME-level technical reviews to ensure execution of projects supporting the Y-12 mission.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent in the United States/recognized equivalents.
• Five years of relevant engineering experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, technical direction, and oversight to Design Engineers within the Division Managed Design organization.
• Monitor workload, manage scope, budget, and schedule for projects under purview.
• Develop staffing plans, set priorities and expectations, and support long- and short-term team direction.
• Lead engineers in technical matters including data analysis and SME review, and maintain qualified technical resources.
