Job summary

QPS Employment Group in Manitowoc, WI is seeking a Line Leader for the 2nd or 3rd shift on a potential-to-hire basis. The role focuses on directing and mentoring the assembly team to meet performance metrics while upholding safety, quality, and cost objectives.

Responsibilities include developing checklists for startup, run, and shutdown, supervising pump/cap table tasks, and overseeing fillers and changeovers. Prior assembly or leadership experience is helpful; high school diploma required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math skills.
• Assembly and/or leadership experience helpful.
• Able to walk, stand, sit and reach throughout shift; able to lift 10–50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coach and mentor assigned assembly team to assist in meeting performance metrics.
• Ensure safety, quality, service (delivery), and cost objectives are met.
• Develop, maintain and improve pre and postproduction checklists detailing steps to startup, run, and shutdown of line.
• Provide visual confirmation of items by position at line start up.
• Supervise and train pump/cap table team to assist in completing line tasks.
• Set up, maintain and troubleshoot filler, monitoring consumables/spares.
• Perform weight checks in production.
• Clean and sanitize filler, setup (changeover) and start production.
• Maintain master downtime for team.
• Cross train with Palletizers to cover absences.
