Job summary

Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC is seeking a 2nd shift leader to manage daily production activities in a high-performing team. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners to address safety, quality, and efficiency concerns, acting as an innovator and change agent.

The role requires leadership experience, strong communication, and problem-solving skills, plus Lean manufacturing knowledge. On-site work with overtime availability supports production goals and improvements.

Qualifications

• Two years of leadership experience preferred.
• Experience in motivating and leading people required.
• Basic MS Office skills required.
• Strong problem-solving skills required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles (5S, JIT) desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day production activities to meet safety, quality, cost and delivery goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and department leaders.
• Coach team members and act as change agent to drive improvements.
• Attend shift start-up meetings and manage line start-up/changeover.
• Prepare shift pass-downs and report downtime and 4M issues.
