Job summary

BD is seeking an on-site manufacturing technician at USA NE - Columbus to support equipment setup, maintenance, and process improvements in a fast-paced medical technology environment.

The role involves machine troubleshooting, PMs, changeovers, and collaboration with engineers and technicians, with a minimum requirement of a High School Diploma or GED. You will be part of a shift-leading team focused on quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Set-up machine per established procedures, to manufacture products which conform to quality specifications, at the rated output.
• Repair, adjust and trouble-shoot machinery including dismantling, replacement of parts, and reassembling.
• Work with other technical support if necessary.
• Assign associates to alternate tasks as needed. Instruct associates on proper job methods and follow-up to be certain the instructions are understood and followed.
• Communicate daily with prior and post shift Line Lead Technicians regarding technical and other pertinent issues.
• Perform and leads preventive maintenance for respective line.
• Continually monitor operations for product quality and equipment performance, including the final QC lot acceptance rate.
• Perform all product changeovers, assigned machine lubrications, sanitization and cleaning.
• Assist other technical staff on machine modifications/testing, equipment validations. Responsible for contributing to the continuous improvement of the process.
• Provide feedback to improve the production process and training organization.
• Order replacement parts as needed.
• Require to work during plant shut down periods to perform PMs and assist with Engineering projects.
• Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.
