Job summary

BD in Columbus (NE) is seeking a Maintenance/Tech Lead to set up and changeover production equipment and sustain optimal running conditions. You will train operators, lead on safety and process improvements, and ensure adherence to BD quality systems and GMP standards.

The role requires mechanical background, English proficiency, and a willingness to support team coverage and continuous improvement initiatives on the floor.

Qualifications

• Mechanical skills or related education/background required.
• Associates degree in a mechanical field preferred.
• Ability to read/write English and follow GMP rules.

Responsibilities

• Perform changeovers and set up equipment properly.
• Keep equipment operating to meet production and quality standards.
• Generate accurate maintenance records as required by management.
• Maintain machine cleanliness and perform preventive maintenance.
• Provide coverage for absent colleagues.
• Assist operators and support during breaks as needed.
• Lead teams in scheduling, process improvement, safety, and CI.
• Work safely with chemicals and ensure coworker safety.
• Align with management requests when possible.
• May work in a clean room following GMP rules.
