Job summary

Carvana in Indiana is seeking a Line Lead Supervisor to directly manage and develop a team of hourly associates in an Inspection Center, aiming to meet daily production targets across multi-stage lines and ensure safety and quality.

You will oversee workflow from initial assembly to final finishing and QA, mentor technicians, identify bottlenecks, drive improvements, and promote a culture of accountability on the floor.

Qualifications

• Proven supervisory or lead experience within a high-volume manufacturing, production, or assembly environment.
• LEAN Manufacturing Experience: 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, Kanban with ability to identify waste and implement improvements on the floor.
• Experience overseeing diverse operational processes, including mechanical assembly, inventory handling, and finishing stages.

Responsibilities

• Production Line Management: Coordinate and oversee daily operations across multi-stage production lines to meet safety, efficiency, and output targets.
• Cross-Functional Workflow: Manage movement of automotive inventory through phases of production from initial assembly to final finishing and QA.
• Team Leadership: Lead, train, and mentor technicians, operators, and specialists across multiple workstations.
• Quality Control & Finishing: Enforce quality standards ensuring products meet specifications before final documentation and release.
• Process Optimization: Monitor pipelines to identify bottlenecks, optimize material staging, and smooth transitions between zones.
• Continuous Improvement: Champion process improvements and root-cause problem solving on the floor.
