Job summary

GreatLIFE Golf in Pittsboro, North Carolina seeks motivated line cooks to join our Food and Beverage team. We offer both full-time and part-time roles with a comprehensive benefits package for full-time staff and golf privileges across GreatLIFE locations.

Pay ranges from $14.00 to $17.00 per hour, with availability on Thursday evenings and weekends required. As a line cook, you will prepare pantry items for our restaurant, banquet operations, snack bar and beverage cart, and work with grills,

Qualifications

• Certificate from college, technical school or related experience and/or training.
• Able to prep pantry items for multiple food outlets including restaurant and banquet operations.
• Must be available Thursday evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of meats, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking on grills and fryers.
• Follow portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen procedures.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary work station and proper food storage.
• Open and close kitchen operations and support the Head Chef as needed.
• Report equipment or food quality issues to management and ensure reliability.

Chapel Ridge Golf Club is one GreatLIFE Golf's premier golf clubs located in Pittsboro, North Carolina! This club is an 18-hole, semi-private club designed by Bob Moore and Fred Couples. On site is the Ridge Bar and Grill that offers a variety of different food and beverage options. We focus on creating an fun, laid back environment for our employees while providing excellent customer service for our members and guests.

We are looking for both full-time and part-time line cooks to join our Food and Beverage team. Full-time positions will come with a full benefits package to include Medical, Dental and Vision coverage as well as Paid Time Off and Holiday Pay. All of our employees are able to benefit with golfing privileges at all GreatLIFE Golf locations.

Pay Range: $14.00 - $17.00.00 per hour

Must be available Thursday evenings and weekends

Job Description

Prepares various pantry products for various food outlets such as restaurant, banquet operations, snack bar and beverage cart.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Completes opening and closing checklists.
• Refers to daily prep list at the start of each shift for assigned duties.
• Prepares a variety of meats, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment.
• Understands and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
• Ensures proper storage of food items.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, walls, grills, fryers, sauté burners, range, and refrigeration equipment.
• Opens the kitchen properly and follows the opening checklist for kitchen stations. Assists others in opening the kitchen.
• Promptly reports equipment and food quality problems to the department manager and/or supervisor.
• Supports Head Chef in scheduling and managing the kitchen as required to support a successful operation.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Regular & reliable attendance.

Degree/Licenses
