Job summary

Sea Palms Resort in St. Simons Island, GA, is seeking a Line Cook to set up, cook, and maintain quality on our busy kitchen line. Responsibilities include preparing items to menu standards, ensuring proper temperatures, and plating with garnishments.

Certifications such as Food Handler and CPR/First Aid are required, with ServSafe preferred. Minimum two years of line cook experience in hotels or restaurants is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in hotels, restaurants or related fields.
• Certifications such as Food Handler, CPR and First Aid, ServSafe may be required by agencies.
• Experience in line cook roles with ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Set up, stock and organize workstation for production of food items.
• Prepare food items according to menu standards and portion controls.
• Use kitchen tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain food quality, temperatures and food safety standards.
• Plating according to standard presentation and garnishments.
• Assist with inventory, cleaning and other duties as needed.
