High Flying Foods San Diego Partner at San Diego International Airport is hiring a Line Cook to join a fast-paced, guest-focused kitchen. You will prepare, cook, and plate items to spec, maintain a clean station, and work with a team to deliver consistent quality.

We offer open availability, a competitive hourly wage of $24.80 plus tips and surcharge, free parking, union benefits, paid vacation, and meals for staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a line cook in a high-volume kitchen.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to memorize recipes and follow precise portion standards.
• Knife handling proficiency and knowledge of food safety practices.
• Valid Food Handler’s Card or willingness to obtain during training.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and plate dishes to order per recipes and standards.
• Maintain organized, clean station and stock ingredients.
• Rotate ingredients using FIFO and ensure freshness.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely.
• Complete prep lists and sanitation tasks before service.
• Communicate shift start/end with the manager.
