Position Summary
Horseshoe Bay Resort is seeking a Line Cook to prepare and cook menu items while maintaining quality, consistency, and food safety standards in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and established standards
- Ensure proper food quality, portion control, and presentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation
- Follow food safety and storage procedures, including proper rotation (FIFO)
- Assist with prep work and ensure readiness for service
- Communicate any food quality or inventory concerns to leadership
- Support team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of professional culinary experience preferred
- High School Diploma or GED preferred; culinary training a plus
- Valid Food Handler Certification required (TABC certification as applicable)
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Basic communication skills
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain professionalism
- Must wear slip‑resistant, closed‑toe footwear
