Job summary

Hutchinson Shores Beach Resort in Jensen Beach, FL is seeking a dedicated Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate brings a solid understanding of professional cooking, food safety, and timely station setup to deliver high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment.

You will follow recipes, maintain cleanliness, assist with prep and line duties, and support kitchen operations during every shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED is a plus but not required.
• Previous kitchen experience is a plus.
• Thorough understanding of professional cooking techniques.
• Knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
• Previous prep or line cook experience.
• Professional communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Sets up the station in time for service per guidelines.
• Prepares items in a sanitary and timely manner.
• Follows recipes, portions, and presentation specs.
• Restocks items and takes inventory after service.
• Cleans and maintains stations with safety and organization.
• Assists with kitchen cleaning and storage areas.
• Performs additional duties as requested by Chef/Sous Chef.

Responsibilities:

• Sets up the station in time for service according to restaurant guidelines
• Prepares all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
• Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the chef or restaurant
• Restocks all items as needed throughout the shift and is responsible for taking inventory after service
• Cleans and maintains stations in practicing good safety, sanitation, organizational skills
• Has understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment in the station
• Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk‑in coolers, and all storage areas
• Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the Chef, and Sous Chef at any time

Qualifications:

• A thorough and deep understanding of professional cooking including basic techniques and working food knowledge.
• Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
• Previous prep or line cook experience.
