Job summary

Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking a dedicated Line Cook to join our culinary team. You will prepare food to standard recipes, maintain portion control, and ensure lines run smoothly across stations.

You will participate in setting up for service, monitor stock levels, and help control food costs while supporting a collaborative, guest‑focused kitchen culture at Crescent properties.

Qualifications

• High School education preferred.
• Certified Food Handler certification required or preferred.
• ServSafe Allergen cert required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food to Crescent standards following recipes and portion controls.
• Manage line setup and check pars, notify shortages, and keep buffet stocked.
• Assist in controlling food costs and waste according to Crescent guidelines.

Here is what you will be doing each day:

• As a Line Cook, you will be working with our culinary team prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards, per check from servers.
• Check pars for shift use, determine necessary preparation, freezer pull, and line set up. Note any out of stock items or possible shortages. Assist in keeping buffet stocked.
• Assist in setting up plans and actions to correct any food cost problems, control food waste, loss, and usage per Crescent standards.

For applicants who will be working in NYC, the anticipated compensation range for the position is $27.09 per hour; for applicants who will be working in New York, the anticipated compensation range for the position is $27.09 per hour. The salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, work location, etc. Crescent Hotels is a multi-state employer and the salary ranges indicated herein may not reflect positions that work only in other states.
