Job summary

Vidorra 'Cocina de Mexico' is seeking an experienced Line Cook to join our kitchen team and prepare meals according to our standard recipes. You will work at the prep station, assist with plating, and ensure kitchen safety and sanitation standards are met.

Ideal candidates have a strong culinary background, excellent communication, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. A commitment to teamwork will help contribute to our customer satisfaction and restaurant growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Certificate in Culinary Arts or related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of restaurant best practices and cooking methods.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Aptitude for multi-tasking.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the preparation station and kitchen are set up and stocked.
• Prepare simple components of each dish by chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and making sauces.
• Report to the executive chef and follow instructions.
• Maintain health and safety standards in food prep and storage areas.
• Clean prep areas and manage leftovers.
• Stock inventory and supplies.
• Cook menu items with kitchen staff support.
